Land of Great Wines
Rioja Alta, D.O.Ca. Rioja, sheltered by the Sierra de la Demanda mountains
For our white wines, we rely on the traditional Rioja Viura, Garnacha Blanca and Malvasía, along with the unique Tempranillo Blanco, a genetic mutation discovered in 1988, and the international Sauvignon Blanc. All our vineyards are nestled south of the Ebro River, sheltered by the Sierra de la Demanda mountains, where Atlantic and Mediterranean influences converge, at an altitude of between 500 and 720 meters above sea level. Our vines grow in clay-sandy soils, the result of millions of years of erosion. We cultivate our vines with the utmost respect for the environment, practicing integrated production with low yields per hectare and an ecological approach. Our goal is to produce high-quality grapes that reflect the unique character of our soils and climate, while preserving the traditions of our viticulture.
Barriviel and Zangarrán
Vineyards of Old Garnacha, Tempranillo and Viura vines in Camprovin, Rioja Alta
Barriviel and Zangarran vineyards are located south of the Ebro River and on the slopes of the Sierra de la Demanda, cultivated sustainably.

Barriviel VINEYARD: 0,66 ha
Tempranillo, Garnacha and Viura
Planted between 1940 and 1985

ZaNGARRán VINEYARD: 0,62 ha
Tempranillo and Garnacha
Planted between 1945 and 1998
The vineyards, at a high altitude of between 670 and 720 meters above sea level, with sandy-calcareous soil and a northern orientation, receive much less sun than those in the valley, resulting in grapes that ripen slowly, showing intense flavors with greater balance and concentration.
This presents a unique challenge, that only traditional viticulture can remedy: harvesting in this area is one of the latest in Western Europe, extending into early November. In addition to the cool climate, the vineyards planted from 1940 onwards on dispersed and steep plots, require heroic viticulture.
Valdemoret and Ponzelajudía
Vineyards with Garnacha tinta and diverse white varieties in the municipality of Arenzana.
These two plots, planted from 1999 with varieties including Garnacha tinta, Garnacha blanca, Malvasía and Tempranillo blanco, are situated at an altitude of between 600 and 675 meters.
- VALDEMORET: 7,53 ha | Garnacha, Tempranillo Blanco, Garnacha Blanca and Malvasia.
- PONZELAJUDIA: 0,95 ha | Garnacha.
The soils are sandy with alluvial sediments. The climatic conditions of this area are very beneficial for viticulture. The average temperature from April to October is 16°C with 300 liters of annual rainfall. The moderately warm days and cool nights of this continental Atlantic climate force the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in wines that show brighter aromas and more fruity flavors.
Bandrinal
Tempranillo vineyard in the Hormilla area, Rioja Alta
At 568 meters altitude, in the village of Hormilla, Rioja Alta, lies a nearly 4-hectare plot planted in 2002.
- BANDRINAL: 3,98 ha | Tempranillo. Planted betwen 2002 and 2009.
The vineyard is situated on soils of fine red clay and sandy limestone, interspersed with small particles of clay. Despite its young age, the main characteristic of this vineyard is that it contains 16 different clones of Tempranillo, selected from over a hundred among many vineyards, some of them over 100 years old. This allows us to recover diversity and obtain in the fruit an extraordinary depth, a beautiful integration of tannins and a balanced acidity, a specific and beautiful raw material to make a wine worthy of aging with notable depth and elegance.
Valdoña
Tempranillo vineyard in the Hormilla area, Rioja Alta, on the Alto Valpierre plateau.
Valdona, a 5-hectare vineyard planted from 2005, is situated in the town of Hormilla at an altitude of over 600 meters on the high plateau of Alto de Valpierre.
- VALDONA: 4,98 ha | Tempranillo. Planted between 2005 and 2009.
The Alto de Valpierre is a region in Rioja Alta characterized by its vast expansion of vineyards interspersed with cereal fields. It is also a place of high historical content (Roman roads, battles between the kingdoms of Castile and Navarre…).
The soils are clayey and calcareous, and together with the cooler east-facing orientation, they give as a combination fine grapes but with great strength at the same time. It is an area that is increasingly attracting the attention of large Rioja wine producers.Due to the absence of pesticides, the area is home to a diverse array of bird species, their songs breaking the tranquility of this stunning natural setting.
A Land of Great Grapes
Every wine possesses a unique character, its own personality, shaped by the grape variety, the terroir, and the winemaker's know-how. This essence is transmitted from the vine to the glass.
